TOURNAMENT CANCELED!


Unfortunately the weather has not cooperated much and our fields have had to take on too much water at this time and are not in a position to be playable tomorrow with continued rain in the forecast. Due to this, we are canceling the remaining matches in the tournament.

Our apologies again, and we are looking forward to all of you committing to attend the 2011 CFISD Junior Varsity Invitational.

2010 CFISD Varsity Invitational UPDATE

Coaches,

I appreciate everyone's flexibility with the tournament, and hope that each of you and your teams had a positive experience and learned much about your side. This afternoon, the decision was made to cancel the matches that were to kickoff at 6:30 this evening due to frigid conditions and to modify the schedule. Those canceled matches have been moved to Saturday in order to finish off the pool-matches that remained un-played for those teams.

The following matches will be played Saturday @ the Richard E. Berry Center. The second team listed will be the HOME team and will wear light jerseys and supply gameballs meeting or exceeding NFHS requirements.

A&M Consolidated has replaced HISD Westside in the Cy-Ridge flight. 12:20pm

Quick update, as of 10:00am, all is on as scheduled on the alt schedule. New update will come out between 12 and 1 today!

UPDATES-9:45 PM, 1-6-2010

As of right now, everything is on as scheduled on the last revision sent at 4:45PM.

Ill update the blog in the morning by 8:45 with the latest information. We are hopeful we will get games in and have a great tournament.

If you dont know how to use the blog, click through the archive files to read past information--it will have all information submitted to the blog over the past day, as well as the standings, etc. as scores are received and standings are updated.

UPDATES 1-6-2010, 4:55pm

We have some additional adjustments for the event taking place this weekend--this is where we are at as of right now, 4:40 pm. Please see the attached for changes associated with the event.

2 teams dropped from the event and we have adjusted accordingly.

The CY-LAKES pool games will now be played at CY-SPRINGS HS--there are NO games at Cy-Lakes HS for the event. Changes are BOLDED and highlighted in RED. Again, ALL Cy-Lakes pool games are now played at Cy-Springs. Teams in the Cy-Lakes and Cy-Springs bracket will EACH have 1 BYE.

Those teams in the Lakes and Springs bracket will have points calculated on an "average" of their previous 2 match results and then added to get the total points. 2 of the 3 teams in each of those pools are guaranteed to advance to the placement games on Saturday.

If further changes are needed, information will be emailed ASAP.

Please let me know if you have any continued concerns, and we are looking forward to a chilly, but great event to kickoff the season.
